The group is located in Mijomboni village about 4km off Gede town along Mombasa–Malindi highway. It was established in 2005 when several herbalists with a wide knowledge on traditional medicine came together to share knowledge among themselves. Through KEFRI’s support the group was registered in 2006 with Arabuko Forest Adjacent Dwellers Association (ASAFADA).The group’s main objective is to conserve the agro biodiversity through sustainable utilization of herbal plants, provide herbal treatment and generate income.
