Our Partners

The impactful work we do at Ufanisi Conservation Group is made possible through the steadfast support of our valued partners. Together, we conserve indigenous medicinal trees, protect the Arabuko Sokoke ecosystem, and empower women in Mijomboni Village, Kilifi County.

Our work supports sustainable livelihoods through herbal medicine production, tree nurseries, and community training—benefiting families, preserving traditional knowledge, and contributing to climate resilience.

Ufanisi Conservation Group has partnered with the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) for over 12 years. Through this partnership, KEFRI has provided technical support in herbal medicine research, product processing, quality assurance, and sustainable cultivation of indigenous medicinal trees.

KEFRI has also supported training, product branding, and promoted a shift from wild harvesting to on-farm tree cultivation, helping Ufanisi conserve Kaya forests while improving community livelihood

Through its partnership with Friends of Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, Ufanisi Conservation Group strengthened leadership, improved record keeping and marketing skills, enhanced collaboration, and empowered women to lead community-driven conservation and sustainable livelihoods.

Assistance with transport costs or provision of a community vehicle will ease the high cost of moving medicinal materials from collection areas to processing sites.

✅ Training Centre & Clinic Infrastructure

Investment in improved buildings, storage, and learning facilities will strengthen Ufanisi’s role as a demonstration and training hub for conservation and herbal medicine.

✅ Packaging & Labelling

Support for quality containers, compliant labeling, and branding will improve product safety, shelf life, and consumer trust.

Provision of grinders, dryers, mixers, and other processing tools will improve efficiency, hygiene, and production capacity.
